FAQs and contact

Where is my data stored?
Personal transactions and reminders are stored primarily on your device. Shared budget data, group transactions, and account information are synced through Firebase when you are signed in.
Can I use the app without an account?
Yes. Personal budget tracking does not require an account. Shared budget, group invites, and cloud sync require registration and email verification.
Notifications are not working. What should I do?
Check that notifications are enabled in the in-app Settings screen and that CepteKalan - Expense Tracker notification permissions are allowed in your device settings.
Can I change the currency or language?
Yes. You can change the default currency and app language from Settings. Supported currencies are TRY, USD, EUR, and GBP.
How does receipt scanning work?
On iOS you can scan a receipt with the camera to auto-fill amount, date, and category. Text recognition runs on your device; the receipt image is not uploaded to our servers. Camera permission is required.
How do I export a PDF?
Use the PDF icon on the dashboard, transactions, or shared budget screens to pick a period and scope. The statement follows your app language (TR/EN) and can be saved or shared from the system share sheet.
What do “paid by / added by” mean in shared budgets?
For shared expenses you can see who paid; for shared income, who added the entry. This helps settlements and transparency. An account and group membership are required.
